Aaron Rodgers has been estranged from his family for years, but the Green Bay Packers' star quarterback recently reunited with his father. Despite the reconciliation, there's still tension in the relationship.
Aaron Rodgers has been one of the most successful quarterbacks in the NFL for over a decade, but his personal life has been filled with turmoil. For years, Rodgers has been estranged from his family, including his parents and siblings.
However, the New York Post recently reported that Rodgers reunited with his father, Ed, at last year's American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. According to a new biography on Rodgers written by Ian O'Connor, the two hadn't seen each other in "years."

Rodgers admitted he considered avoiding his father at the event, but he ultimately decided not to. "I do love him," Rodgers said. "And I don't have animosity toward him, even with all the stuff that's been said and done."
The reunion was an emotional moment for both father and son. "That was a special moment," Rodgers later told O'Connor.

Despite the reconciliation, there's still tension in the relationship. Rodgers' parents blame his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Munn, for the fractured relationship. However, Rodgers and Munn deny she played a primary role in the quarterback's decision to cut off his family.
Rodgers' parents attended his Jets debut, but they didn't see him afterward or at any point during his recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Rodgers has said that any chance of reconciliation with his family goes through his father. However, he admitted that "every time I think it's getting closer, some weird things happen."
"But I would like a relationship with my dad for sure," Rodgers said.
The dynamics of Rodgers' family relationships are complicated. His parents blame Munn for the estrangement, but Rodgers and Munn deny that she was a major factor. Rodgers has said he wants to reconcile with his father, but he also admits that there are still some issues that need to be resolved.
It's unclear whether Rodgers will ever be able to fully reconcile with his family. However, the fact that he's willing to meet with his father is a sign that he's at least open to the possibility of repairing their relationship.
