Seven civilians, including five women and two men, survived their injuries. However, four of these victims remain hospitalized, with one woman listed in critical condition. Three of the injured civilians were released from the hospital on Friday.

The suspect in the shooting has been identified as 44-year-old Travis Eugene Posey of New Edinburg. Posey will face four counts of capital murder in connection with the incident, with additional charges pending.

Posey sustained non-life-threatening injuries during an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement. He was released to the custody of state police and transported to the Ouachita County Detention Center.
