Law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation have confirmed that the weapon used by Crooks, a DPMS AR-15 5.56, is currently undergoing forensic analysis at the FBI's laboratories in Quantico, Virginia. The FBI has completed its search of Crooks' home and vehicle, confiscating over a dozen firearms from his residence. His family continues to cooperate with the investigation.
