Bill Belichick, the legendary former head coach of the New England Patriots, is set to make a notable return to Foxborough on Wednesday to attend Tom Brady's induction into the team's Hall of Fame.

The Athletic reported that Belichick will be present for the ceremony, marking his first time back at Gillette Stadium since parting ways with the Patriots in January after a remarkable 24-season tenure.

Despite speculations of a strained relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft in recent years, Belichick's attendance is a testament to the enduring legacy of Brady's time in New England. Kraft has previously acknowledged having challenging moments with Belichick, describing him as "a pain in the tush," albeit one he tolerated for the sake of success.

In the Apple TV+ docuseries "The Dynasty," Kraft revealed that he advised Falcons owner Arthur Blank against trusting Belichick after Atlanta interviewed him for their head coaching vacancy.

However, reports indicate that Belichick and Kraft shared a conciliatory moment on stage at Brady's roast in May, putting aside any perceived awkwardness.

Beyond his Hall of Fame induction, Brady's induction ceremony is also a ticketed event, with most of the seats at Gillette Stadium being opened up for the occasion. It is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET and will be streamed on the team's website and social media platforms.

Brady's induction is a historic moment for the Patriots franchise, as he is the first player to bypass the traditional four-year waiting period to be enshrined in the team's Hall of Fame. The ceremony is expected to feature speeches from Belichick and numerous former Patriots teammates, including Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Randy Moss, Mike Vrabel, and Wes Welker.

Kraft has hinted at the presence of "outstanding surprise guests," adding to the anticipation surrounding the event. The ceremony will serve as a fitting tribute to Brady's unparalleled contributions to the Patriots organization and the sport of football.

Despite the passage of time and the occasional reports of friction, it is clear that Belichick and Kraft still share a deep respect for Brady and his achievements. The Hall of Fame induction is a testament to the enduring bonds forged during the Patriots' dynasty, a legacy that will forever be synonymous with the iconic figures of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
