Frank Bensel Jr., a 56-year-old club pro from New York, has achieved a rare and extraordinary feat by making consecutive holes-in-one at the U.S. Senior Open in Newport, Rhode Island, on Friday, June 28. His remarkable accomplishment has made history in the annals of the United States Golf Association (USGA), becoming the first player ever to achieve this astounding feat.

Bensel's extraordinary achievement occurred on the fourth hole, a 184-yard par 3, where he precisely guided his shot into the cup with elegance. The crowd erupted in a thunderous applause, celebrating his incredible display of skill and fortune. However, Bensel's magic did not end there. On the very next hole, a 203-yard par 3, he repeated his audacious feat, sending the crowd into a frenzy of disbelief and exhilaration.

According to the National Hole-in-One Registry, the odds of a single player making two aces in the same round are a staggering 67 million to 1. Bensel's accomplishment is a testament to his exceptional talent and an extraordinary stroke of luck.

Bensel, still reeling from his remarkable achievement, described the moment as an "out-of-body experience," an apt description for such an improbable feat. "I've played a lot of golf in my life, and just to see a hole-in-one in a tournament is pretty rare," Bensel said after completing the second round of the tournament. "The first one was great; that got me under par for the day. And then the second one, I just couldn't believe it. To even think that that could happen was amazing."

Unfortunately, despite his remarkable start, Bensel's day took a downward turn as he stumbled upon a series of bogeys. After his consecutive aces, he recorded four consecutive bogeys and added three more on the back nine, finishing the day at 4-over 74. His valiant efforts ultimately fell short, as he missed the cut.

"I didn't do anything great except for kind of those shots today," Bensel said with a hint of disappointment. "I was hoping that I could have added a lot more good scoring after that to have made the cut, but that didn't happen."
