Amidst a surge in political violence, President Biden and members of his Cabinet strongly denounced the assassination attempt on former President Trump over the weekend, extending condolences and prayers to victims and condemning the use of violence in the political arena.
Amid a heated election season marked by inflammatory rhetoric, President Biden and his Cabinet unequivocally condemned the attempted assassination of former President Trump, expressing sympathy and condolences for the victims and their families.

These statements come on the eve of the Republican National Convention scheduled to commence in Milwaukee, where delegates will officially nominate Trump as the presumptive GOP presidential candidate. Biden has instructed the Secret Service to thoroughly examine the convention's security measures, while the agency has affirmed that its current protocol will remain in place throughout the event.
