President Biden has dismissed criticism and declared his unwavering intention to run for re-election in 2024, stating that he is "not going anywhere."
President Biden has boldly declared that he will remain in the 2024 presidential race, defying criticism from within his own party. During a phone interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Biden resolutely stated, "The bottom line here is that we're not going anywhere. I am not going anywhere."
Biden's announcement comes amidst calls from some media allies and party members for him to step aside, citing concerns about his age and recent debate performance. However, the president remains resolute in his belief that he is the best candidate to defeat former President Donald Trump in 2024.

"I wouldn't be running if I didn't absolutely believe that I am the best candidate to beat Donald Trump in 2024," Biden said. "We had a democratic nominating process where the voters spoke clearly. I won 14 million of those votes."
In the interview, Biden acknowledged the recent criticism but dismissed it as unfounded. He pointed to his record of defeating Trump in 2020 and argued that he would do so again in 2024. Biden also dismissed claims that he had lost support among Black voters, inviting critics to accompany him on his campaign trail to witness the reality of the matter.

"Remember about all this talk about how I don't have the Black support. Give me a break. Come with me. Watch. Watch!" Biden exclaimed. "I'm getting frustrated by the elites — not you guys — the elites in the party, oh, they know so much more."
Biden's defiance sends a clear message that he is not willing to succumb to pressure. He invited those who doubt his abilities to challenge him in the primary, stating, "Any of these guys that don't think I should run, run against me. Announce for president, challenge me at the convention."

Despite concerns about his ability to win re-election, Biden remains confident in his chances of victory. He emphasized the importance of connecting with everyday Americans and dismissed the claims of the "elites" who question his candidacy.
"I don't care what those big names said," Biden said. "They were wrong in 2020. They were wrong in 2022 about the red wave. They're wrong in 2024 and come out with me and watch people react. You make a judgment."
Biden's decision to remain in the race sets the stage for a potentially contentious Democratic primary. However, his unwavering determination suggests that he is prepared to fight for the nomination and ultimately take on Trump once again in the general election.
