As tensions rise amid the upcoming 2024 presidential race, panelists on "The Big Weekend Show" weighed in on both candidates' differing approaches to talking with voters across the nation in preparation for Thursday's debate.

In the lead-up to the first presidential debate of the 2024 election, Fox News Contributor Charlie Hurt expressed concerns about President Biden's lack of participation in campaign rallies. "When was the last time you saw Joe Biden at a campaign rally? He doesn't do them. This is not normal," Hurt exclaimed on "The Big Weekend Show."

According to Hurt, this absence suggests that the Biden campaign is relying on the public to "disregard their own eyes [and] what they see." He believes that Biden's unwillingness to engage with voters directly indicates a weak campaign strategy.

"They see a guy who is funny, who's engaged and most importantly, is talking about issues that they care about and that affect them. Meanwhile, the Biden campaign is calling half the country racist... This is insane and it’s a losing campaign strategy," Hurt argued.

In contrast to Biden, former President Trump has been actively campaigning in swing states, holding rallies and interacting with voters. "Donald Trump is the only one who's actually campaigning right now," Hurt remarked.

Trump's campaign strategy focuses on engaging with voters directly and addressing their concerns. He has expressed confidence in his preparation for the upcoming debate, telling Fox News' Alexis McAdams in Philadelphia, "If [Biden] prepares, he'll be fine and then he'll forget it within about an hour after preparing."

The contrasting campaign approaches of Biden and Trump have sparked reactions from online commentators and celebrities. Radio host Charlamagne tha God predicted, "Biden is not going to be able to keep up... It’s gonna be bad."

Support for Trump has been vocalized by several celebrities, including Kid Rock, Amber Rose, Waka Flocka, Dennis Quaid, and Jon Voight.

Fox News Contributor Tammy Bruce believes that Trump's campaign strategy is effective because he is willing to face the challenges of the presidency. "If you want a president who can face the difficulties, get things done... Trump's for you," she stated.

This year's presidential debate will be held without a live audience, a format that has sparked controversy. Analysts argue that this format may hinder candidates' ability to connect with voters.

As the first presidential debate approaches, the contrasting campaign strategies of Biden and Trump raise questions about their effectiveness in connecting with voters. While Biden focuses on preparing behind closed doors, Trump engages with voters directly, hoping to secure their support in the upcoming election.
