"Real Time" host Bill Maher joined a chorus of voices questioning President Biden's fitness for office after his poor performance in the CNN Presidential Debate. Maher urged Democrats to abandon Biden and find a new candidate to avoid electoral defeat.

As the dust settles from the CNN Presidential Debate, President Biden's performance has come under intense scrutiny, with many Democrats expressing growing concerns. "Real Time" host Bill Maher epitomized these concerns, bluntly stating that it was time for Biden to "get the jar" after his disastrous debate showing.

Maher, who has long advocated for Biden's replacement on the Democratic ticket, reiterated his call, emphasizing that it was now "absolutely apparent" that it was the "only way" for Democrats to win the election. He cited the flash poll conducted after the debate, which showed former President Trump winning by a significant margin, with 67% to 33%.

"33, that number rings in my mind," Maher said, equating it to the unwavering support of certain segments of the Republican base. He expressed concern that a significant portion of Democrats had become entrenched in their support for Biden, despite his glaring deficiencies. "You see it on the right. They used to call them birthers, Tea Party, whatever MAGA nation, they never move. And now I feel like that's a third of the Democrats who are, like, they're gonna stick with this guy and they are going to regret it."

Maher argued that Biden's re-election bid was doomed to failure. "He is going to lose. I said it nine months ago. I'm gonna say it again tonight. And now, it seems like it's so apparent." He criticized Biden's infamous comment during the debate that his administration had "finally beat Medicare," comparing it to a devastating knockout punch that had sealed his fate.

"That was like a haymaker," Maher said. "I feel like the whole rationale for Biden running has always been 'I'm the only guy who can beat him.' Now I think it's inverted. I think he's the only guy who could lose to him."

Maher lamented the lack of viable alternatives for Democratic voters, expressing a sense of abandonment. "I have nobody to vote for."

Top Democrats, including former President Barack Obama, have expressed support for Biden despite his poor debate performance. "Bad debate nights happen," Obama said. However, calls for Biden to withdraw from the presidential race have grown louder in the liberal media, most notably from The New York Times editorial board.

"Mr. Biden has been an admirable president. Under his leadership, the nation has prospered and begun to address a range of long-term challenges, and the wounds ripped open by Mr. Trump have begun to heal. But the greatest public service Mr. Biden can now perform is to announce that he will not continue to run for re-election," the Times editorial board wrote.

With the election less than a year away, the Democratic Party faces a critical decision regarding Biden's future. The debate performance has raised serious questions about his viability as a candidate, and the growing chorus of critics within his own party suggests that a change of leadership may be necessary to avoid electoral defeat.
