Fox News host Jesse Watters examines President Biden's struggles with identity and authenticity, arguing that his attempts to change his attitude and style ahead of the CNN Presidential Debate are futile.

Fox News host Jesse Watters delved into President Biden's ongoing identity crisis in his latest segment on "Jesse Watters Primetime," arguing that the president is being asked to be "everything from George Washington to Betty White." Amidst the ongoing buzz surrounding the CNN Presidential Debate, Watters pointed out the absurdity of expecting an 81-year-old man to drastically alter his persona in a matter of days.

"Joe Biden has always wanted to be a Kennedy, but didn't have the charm, looks or class," Watters said, referring to the New York Times' suggestion that Biden should try to emulate the late beloved actress Betty White for his upcoming debate performance. "Alas, he's an elder statesman or, as the Times says, 'an elderly statesman conjuring up thoughts of frailty and a fading spirit.'"

Watters dismissed the idea that Biden could simply change his "attitude and style" with the help of production lighting and "16 camp counselors," arguing that such an attempt would be both inauthentic and ineffective. "How does an 81 year old change his attitude and style at all, let alone in a week?" Watters questioned.

According to the New York Times, Biden's goal for the debate is to trigger President Trump into making mistakes, but Watters believes that the focus on strategies to provoke his opponent is a misguided effort. "Biden is being asked to be a chameleon, to morph into whatever the political climate demands," Watters said. "He's being asked to be everything from George Washington to Betty White. It's an impossible task that will only serve to highlight his weaknesses."

Watters went on to criticize Biden's overall strategy for the debate, arguing that the president's reliance on teleprompters and cue cards will hinder his ability to connect with voters. "Biden is a weak debater who's going to rely on his supporters to carry him through the night," Watters said. "He's going to come across as a puppet, not a leader."

In a separate segment on "Jesse Watters Primetime," Watters expressed skepticism about Biden's ability to transform his appearance for the debate, even with the help of makeup and grooming. "Sure a little foundation will keep him from looking frail and pasty, but what Biden really needs is to change his attitude and style," Watters said. "That's like trying to turn a Ford Escort into a Lamborghini."

Watters concluded his analysis by predicting that Biden's performance in the debate will be a "disaster," and that the president's identity crisis will be laid bare for all to see. "Biden is a man who's lost his way," Watters said. "He doesn't know who he is or what he stands for. And that's a dangerous thing for a president to be."
