With President Biden's future uncertain, a majority of Democrats view Vice President Kamala Harris as a viable alternative, despite skepticism from Americans outside the party.
As President Biden's re-election prospects hang in the balance, a CNN report reveals plummeting morale among his staff and loyal Democratic officials. Many are growing disillusioned with the 81-year-old president's ability to fulfill his duties, prompting calls for him to withdraw from the race.
Amid the presidential uncertainty, a new AP-NORC poll suggests that a majority of Democrats (60%) believe Vice President Kamala Harris would make a good president. However, only about three in 10 Americans outside the Democratic Party share this sentiment.

Harris maintains a strong favorability rating among Democrats (75%), comparable to Biden's (70%). Her unfavorable rating among Democrats is slightly lower than Biden's.
