The House Committee on Small Business has unveiled a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Biden administration and Michigan, raising concerns about the potential for unconstitutional voter registration activities. The document outlines extensive coordination between the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the state, prompting accusations of the agency acting as a "campaign arm" for Biden.

The House Committee on Small Business has released a bombshell document that has ignited a firestorm of controversy. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Biden administration and the state of Michigan has raised alarms about potential unconstitutional activities related to voter registration.

According to the MOU, the Michigan Department of State will provide the SBA with access to training resources for its online Voter Information Center (MVIC). The SBA, in turn, is obligated to provide voter registration training to all its personnel conducting activities under the agreement. This includes instructions on who is eligible to vote, how to refer individuals to register online using MVIC, and an overview of additional information available to voters.

The MOU further details the creation of a unique URL for the SBA to drive online visitors to register to vote. Additionally, the SBA's Michigan field office will allow state government officials to facilitate in-person voter registration at the agency's business outreach events.

House Republican Chairman Roger Williams expressed deep concern over the SBA's involvement in voter registration activities. He emphasized that the agency's mission is solely to support small businesses, not to engage in electioneering. "I encourage all Americans to look at this agreement and decide if this is how they want their tax dollars spent," he remarked.

The committee, which has labeled the Michigan agreement as essentially serving as a "campaign arm" for Biden's re-election, has also released maps overlaying former SBA events, census data, and publicly reported information on Democrat-targeted voter blocs. These maps suggest possible areas that voter registration efforts will focus on when the initiative is fully implemented.

An investigation by the House committee revealed that 22 out of 25 SBA outreach events from January to April took place in counties with the highest population of Democratic National Committee (DNC) target demographics. Furthermore, 11 of the 15 Michigan counties that have witnessed the largest voter registration increases over the last year rank highest in the population of young and Black voters, two of the left's most sought-after voting blocs.

Senator Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, has condemned the SBA's actions as an outrageous misuse of Americans' tax dollars. She vowed to hold the agency accountable for its "bad actors."

The coordination between the SBA and Michigan stems from a 2021 executive order from President Biden directing federal agencies to promote "access to voting." This has raised concerns among some that the administration is using government agencies to register votes in swing states like Michigan, which is expected to play a pivotal role in the upcoming November election.

The House committee has subpoenaed SBA Chief of Staff Arthur Plews and his special adviser, Tyler Robinson, who failed to appear for scheduled interviews and have not provided requested documents related to the SBA program. Plews, who recently retained personal counsel, is currently negotiating a new date to meet with the committee.

Both the SBA and the White House have remained silent on the controversy. Fox News Digital's Elizabeth Elkind and Charles Creitz contributed to this report.
