President Biden's recent social media post stating that he keeps his promises and leaves no one behind has drawn widespread condemnation, with critics highlighting numerous instances where Biden has broken promises and abandoned both Americans and allies.

The president's post, which included a photo of Biden at a podium with a large American flag and construction workers in the distance behind him, provided no context other than the caption: "On my watch, when we make promises, we keep them. And we leave no one behind."

Critics swiftly responded, pointing to several examples of Biden breaking promises, including leaving American hostages in Gaza and abandoning allies in Afghanistan.

Speaker Mike Johnson highlighted the ongoing detention of American hostages in Gaza and abandoned allies in Afghanistan. Sussex Friends of Israel condemned Biden's decision to make such a post within hours of leaving five hostages "behind" in Gaza.

Radio host Larry O'Connor accused Biden of aiding and abetting Hamas terrorists and undermining Israel's efforts to defeat terrorism and recover hostages. International Legal Forum CEO Arsen Ostrovsky presented photos of each American hostage held captive in Gaza.

The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin denounced Biden's post as "tone-deaf," citing the ongoing hostage situation.

Congressional Republicans also voiced their opposition, with Rep. Byron Donalds emphasizing the president's failure to bring Americans home from Afghanistan. Rep. Brian Mast highlighted the betrayal of Gold Star families, Evan Gershkovich, Afghan interpreters, and American hostages in Gaza.

Rep. Mike Lawler labeled the post "horrifically out of touch," pointing to the many Americans left behind or struggling under the current administration. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' press secretary deemed the post insulting and false.

LibsofTikTok questioned Biden's promise to cure cancer, while Twitchy's Doug Powers accused the president of intentionally making false claims.

The Heritage Foundation's Harrison Fields listed various records broken under Biden's watch, including record inflation, gas prices, illegal immigration, global unrest, crime, and divisions.

Former Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler highlighted the abandonment of U.S. citizens in Afghanistan, Israel, the border, East Palestine, OH, and hardworking Americans.

Daily Wire commentator Virginia Kruta summarized the lack of fulfillment of Biden's promises by stating that it would be quicker to list who hasn't been left behind on his watch.

When asked for clarification on the context of Biden's post, White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates cited recent actions such as empowering Medicare to negotiate drug prices, rebuilding infrastructure, and bringing manufacturing jobs home.

However, critics argue that these actions fail to address the numerous broken promises and abandoned individuals, particularly in light of the ongoing hostage crisis in Gaza and the abandonment of allies in Afghanistan.
