North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has strongly criticized President Biden's threat to withhold weapons from Israel, accusing the President of negotiating on behalf of "terrorists" and abandoning America's top ally. Burgum's criticism follows Biden's statement that if Israel proceeds with its planned invasion of Rafah, he will not supply the weapons they need to deal with the problem.

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has launched a scathing attack on President Biden, accusing him of negotiating on behalf of "terrorists" and abandoning America's top ally. Burgum's criticism stems from Biden's threat to withhold weapon shipments to Israel if it proceeds with its planned invasion of Rafah.

In an interview with CNN, Biden stated that he would not supply Israel with weapons if they went into Rafah, emphasizing that civilians had been killed in Gaza as a result of Israeli bombings. This shift in policy has drawn widespread criticism, with many arguing that it weakens Israel's position and emboldens its adversaries.

Burgum, during an appearance on "America's Newsroom," labeled Biden's policy change as "unbelievable," highlighting the President's apparent readiness to abandon "America's top ally." He argued that Biden has crossed a line by negotiating for terrorists and putting a red line for Israel.

"He's put a red line for Israel, for our ally, and when you think about that, think of every one of our allies around the world watching this and going, 'Wow, Israel is supposed to be America's top ally and the president is threatening them?'" Burgum said.

Earlier this week, Israeli officials reported that the United States had paused a shipment of U.S.-made ammunition, including precision bombs, to Israel. The White House press secretary maintained that the U.S. commitment to Israel remains "ironclad," but the report was confirmed by a U.S. official.

Burgum believes that Biden is back-peddling from his firm commitment to Israel to appease the "pro-Hamas part of the Democrat Party." He questioned why Biden is not negotiating alongside Israel and instead has taken a position that appears to favor the terrorist group Hamas.

"How about Joe Biden saying we'll keep providing weapons until you release the hostages, Hamas?" Burgum asked. "He should be negotiating alongside of Israel. He is on the opposite side of the table."

Burgum's criticism echoes that of many Republicans and some moderate Democrats. Several GOP lawmakers have expressed support for impeaching Biden, arguing that his actions mirror Trump's withholding of weapons aid to Ukraine in exchange for an investigation into the Biden family.

Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., has begun drafting impeachment articles against the President. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that Israel will stand alone to defeat Hamas if necessary, despite Biden's threat to halt weapon shipments.
