Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose Announce Separation, Citing Fraud as Grounds

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose, who married in October 2023, have filed for an annulment, with Cyrus alleging "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct," including obtaining consent to marriage through fraud.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose, who married in a lavish ceremony in October 2023, have separated and filed for an annulment less than a year after their marriage. Cyrus, 62, filed the petition to end their union in a Tennessee court in May, citing "irreconcilable differences" and alleging "inappropriate marital conduct" by Firerose, 36.

According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Cyrus claimed that the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer had obtained his consent to marriage through fraud and that he would not have entered into the union if he had known about the alleged conduct. The petition also listed their date of separation as May 22, 2024.

In addition to the grounds of fraud, Cyrus also cited "irreconcilable differences" as a reason for the annulment. This legal term refers to a fundamental breakdown in the marriage that makes it impossible for the couple to live together as husband and wife.

In an order filed on May 24, Cyrus agreed to pay $500 per night for a period of 10 nights so that Firerose could "stay at a hotel or Airbnb while she searches for a place to reside during these proceedings." The order also stipulated that after 10 nights, Cyrus would pay $5,000 per month for 90 days or until the dissolution of the marriage, whichever came first, to assist Firerose in finding suitable housing in the middle Tennessee area.

Cyrus and Firerose first met 13 years ago on the set of "Hannah Montana," where Firerose was a backup dancer for Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray's daughter. They announced their engagement in November 2022 and married on Cyrus' property in Tennessee in October of the following year.

At the time of their wedding, Cyrus shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, describing the ceremony as "the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined." However, their marriage hit a snag less than a year later, leading to their separation and the filing of the annulment.

Cyrus was previously married to Tish Cyrus, with whom he has five children. Firerose was also previously married.

Representatives for both Cyrus and Firerose have declined to comment on the annulment proceedings. The case is ongoing, and a hearing is scheduled for a later date.
