Preliminary investigations revealed that the fight ensued after a planned party was abruptly canceled due to the hosts' failure to hire an off-duty deputy, as required by the skating rink's policy. The organizers were notified of the cancellation and provided with a refund, but the incident swiftly escalated.

Individuals involved in the canceled party took to social media, summoning friends and acquaintances to gather at Astro Skate and engage in disruptive behavior against the business and law enforcement.

Responding deputies encountered a chaotic scene with an estimated 300-400 individuals present in the parking lot and nearby businesses. Despite warnings to disperse, the crowd continued to engage in aggressive behavior, causing damage to the surrounding businesses and disrupting their operations.

Authorities reported that one group of rioters targeted a nearby barber shop, attacking a juvenile victim inside. The victim was brutally beaten and thrown through the shop's plate-glass window, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and requiring medical treatment.

Another group of individuals entered a convenience store, causing significant damage to wine bottles worth over $500 and stealing an undetermined amount of merchandise.

In response to the escalating violence, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies intervened, apprehending 23 juveniles who were subsequently transported to the juvenile assessment center. Six adults were also arrested and booked into the Orient Road Jail, facing charges of trespassing and other related offenses.

The six adults identified in court documents include 32-year-old Lekera Evans, 21-year-old Yazelynn Ramos, 20-year-old Malik Carter, 18-year-old Jadyn Sebro, 18-year-old Aliyah Alfonso, and 18-year-old Fareed Carter. Ramos and Sebro face additional charges of disorderly conduct, while Evans is charged with resisting an officer's orders without violence.

Sheriff Chad Chronister condemned the violent and disruptive behavior, emphasizing that such actions would not be tolerated in Hillsborough County. He praised the professional and swift response of deputies in defusing the situation and restoring order.

The investigation into the brawl continues, and authorities have requested assistance from the public in identifying any additional suspects involved in the incident. The community is encouraged to report any relevant information to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
