With Hurricane Helene disrupting outdoor practice, the Denver Broncos improvised by conducting a practice session on indoor tennis courts, ensuring their preparation for their upcoming game against the New York Jets.
In a unique turn of events, the Denver Broncos were forced to abandon their traditional practice fields and relocate to indoor tennis courts due to Hurricane Helene's disruptive presence. As the Broncos prepare for their upcoming showdown with the New York Jets, the looming storm has thrown a curveball into their practice routine.
After playing back-to-back games on the East Coast, the Broncos opted to remain in the region to minimize travel disruptions. However, Hurricane Helene's path directly intersected with their location, leaving them stranded amidst the storm's fury.

The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, the Broncos' temporary home, boasts three practice fields: two grass fields and one turf field. Unfortunately, the intense weather conditions rendered outdoor practice impossible, prompting the team to seek alternative arrangements.
With only 48 hours remaining before their crucial matchup, the Broncos were presented with a challenging situation. Needing to maximize their preparation time, they turned to the resort's indoor tennis courts as an unconventional practice venue.

Broncos coach Sean Payton acknowledged the unusual circumstances, stating, "Everything went good ... we got our work done.'' He explained that the team's decision to shift to indoor courts was primarily influenced by the threat of lightning.
For wide receiver Josh Reynolds, the tennis court practice was a unique experience. "I've practiced on basketball courts and in ballrooms, but this is a first for me on a tennis court," he remarked.

The Broncos' resilience in the face of adversity reflects their determination to maintain their momentum after securing their first win of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The storm's impact extended beyond the NFL, affecting other sports leagues as well.
Two games between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets were postponed and rescheduled as a doubleheader on Monday, which will potentially determine their postseason fate. Additionally, Saturday's matchup between Appalachian State and Liberty was canceled, while a preseason NHL game was also postponed due to the storm's impact.
As the Broncos prepare to face the Jets in New Jersey on Sunday, remnants of Hurricane Helene are expected to linger in the area. The Jets, who have won their last two games, will pose a formidable challenge for the Broncos as they seek to extend their winning streak.
Despite the logistical challenges presented by Hurricane Helene, the Broncos have remained focused on their preparation for the Jets game. Their adaptability and resourcefulness in conducting practice on indoor tennis courts demonstrate their unwavering commitment to succeeding on the field.
