Meanwhile, Washington Commanders' Jayden Daniels and Denver Broncos' Bo Nix made history by becoming the first two rookie quarterbacks to score touchdowns in the 2024 season. Daniels, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, rushed for a 1-yard score in the third quarter, while Nix found the end zone on a 4-yard run with just over two minutes remaining in the game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Despite their touchdowns, Daniels' Commanders fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37-20, and Nix's Broncos suffered a 26-20 loss to the Seahawks. Daniels finished 17-for-24 for 184 yards, while Nix threw for 138 yards and was intercepted twice.

Other rookie quarterbacks faced less success in their debuts. New England Patriots' Drake Maye and Atlanta Falcons' Michael Penix Jr. did not see any game action.
Daniels and Nix's touchdowns mark a significant milestone for rookie quarterbacks in the NFL. Their ability to contribute offensively despite facing formidable opponents bodes well for their future prospects.

Williams' victory with the Bears is a promising sign for the team's rebuild under coach Matt Eberflus. While his passing numbers were unimpressive, Williams demonstrated his toughness and leadership in guiding his team to victory.
The performances of rookie quarterbacks in Week 1 provide an exciting glimpse into the future of the NFL. With young signal-callers stepping into starting roles and making an immediate impact, the league is poised for a new generation of stars at the most important position.
