Brink added that she has "always loved" Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition, commending it for empowering women.

"I think it's super empowering," she said. "And I think it's just showing a different side of female athletes that you wouldn't normally see."

"That was a big moment for me," Brink said of the SLAM cover. "I think it just shows that women are starting to be recognized more in the sports world, and I'm just happy to be a part of that."
