According to Solano, he initially received a call from the garage manager informing him of someone being inside his vehicle. Upon returning to the garage, Solano discovered the suspect, Ravesh Rabindranauth, stuck inside his Corvette, pleading for help.

Solano's quick thinking led him to record the encounter on his phone, capturing Rabindranauth's desperate pleas. In the video, Solano confronts Rabindranauth, questioning his intentions and accusing him of attempting to steal his car.

"No, you can't get out, we [are] calling the cops, what do you mean for what? This is grand theft auto, are you trying to steal my car, what are you doing?" Solano is heard saying in the video.

Solano further explained that Rabindranauth's entrapment was due to the Corvette's electrical locking system, which lacks a manual door handle. This requirement to use a key to unlock the car prevented Rabindranauth from escaping.

"We kept going back and forth," Solano said. "He kept begging me to let him out the car. There was no way I was going to let him out. One, he's trying to steal my car. And two, I don't know if he's armed or has a weapon."

Solano's account provides a detailed description of the events leading up to the theft attempt, highlighting the importance of securing vehicles to prevent such incidents.

Rabindranauth has since been charged with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and is being held on a $2,500 bond. The incident has raised awareness about the need for vigilance in securing personal property and the potential consequences of attempting to steal vehicles.

Local authorities urge residents to remain aware of their surroundings, report suspicious activity promptly, and take necessary precautions to protect their vehicles from theft.
