In an interview with Fox News Digital, Kirkpatrick shared, "If she ever needed to talk to anyone or anything, you know, I'm here." He acknowledged their distance, stating, "I haven't been close to her," but added, "Everybody deals with things in their own way."

Kirkpatrick and Spears shared a common path in the pop music industry during the late 1990s and early 2000s. As members of *NSYNC and as a solo artist, respectively, they graced the same charts and had some level of interaction.

Kirkpatrick recalled a memorable moment with Spears during one of her tours, where he dressed in drag to portray a hairstylist or the singer herself. "I'm sure [I] got a lot of gasps on that one because I'm not a very attractive woman," he joked.

Reflecting on Spears' recent public behavior, Kirkpatrick expressed concern, saying, "I just hope that she's OK and everything's all right because for a while, it was like, 'Hey, free Britney, get her out of this conservatorship.' And she gets out of it. And then, you know, she posts some crazy stuff, but it is what it is. And it's her life. And it's not my business to get involved in it."

While Kirkpatrick may not have an intimate relationship with Spears at present, his offer of support highlights the enduring connection they formed during their time in the spotlight.
