Applegate stressed that it's not appropriate to shame people for experiencing mental health issues and that it's important to be able to express those feelings without judgment.

"I hate that," she said. "It's not mental issues. It's not a problem. It's a moment. It's a thought. It's a feeling. And when people hold those in because they're so afraid to say how they truly feel, we give it immense power."

The actress shared that she has received support from friends and family members who have helped her through these difficult times, especially her daughter, Sadie Grace LeNoble.

"I have beautiful people around me and beautiful support systems," Applegate said. "My daughter is the most important thing in my life."

Applegate also expressed concern that the outpouring of concern might discourage others from expressing their own feelings.

"By making such a big deal about it you’re making other people think, ‘Oh, s, I can’t talk about this.’ And that is not OK with me," she said. "It’s important to be able to say these things."

Applegate emphasized that she's not suicidal and that she has a strong support system that helps her cope with her MS diagnosis.

"And, no, I’m not sitting here on suicide watch, OK? I am not. Nor have I ever been," she said.

Applegate's honesty and openness about her mental health struggles have resonated with many, and she has received praise for speaking out. Her message of hope and resilience has inspired others to share their own stories and seek support.
