OutKick founder Clay Travis weighs in on Kamala Harris potentially earning the Democrat nomination for president after President Biden's withdrawal.
OutKick founder Clay Travis believes that Kamala Harris is a "backup quarterback" who is only in the running for the Democrat nomination for president because President Biden is withdrawing.
"Kamala Harris is a backup quarterback," Travis said on Fox News. "She's not a starting quarterback. She's not someone who can lead the team. She's someone who can come in and manage the game if the starter goes down. But she's not someone who can win the game on her own."

Travis said that Harris's lack of experience is a major concern for him.
"She's never been the top dog," Travis said. "She's never been the one who's had to make the tough decisions. She's always been the one who's been behind the scenes, playing it safe."

Travis also said that Harris's record as a prosecutor is another red flag.
"She's put people in prison for nonviolent drug offenses," Travis said. "She's been tough on crime, and that's not something that I think most Americans want in a president."

Travis concluded by saying that he believes that Harris is only in the running for the Democrat nomination because the party is desperate to find someone to replace Biden.
"I think they're looking for anyone who can beat Trump," Travis said. "And they think that Harris is their best shot. But I don't think she's going to be able to do it."

In addition to Travis's concerns, there are a number of other factors that could hurt Harris's chances of winning the Democrat nomination. These include her low approval ratings, her lack of support among black voters, and her gaffe-prone nature.
It remains to be seen whether Harris will be able to overcome these challenges and secure the Democrat nomination. But if she does, she will face an uphill battle against former President Donald Trump in the general election.
