Dramatic footage shows the heart-pounding rescue of two Florida boaters lost 73 miles offshore amidst Hurricane Debby's fury.
In a daring rescue mission, the United States Coast Guard aircrews braved treacherous seas and howling winds to save two adrift boaters whose 34-foot sailing vessel lost its sail off the coast of Boca Grande during Tropical Storm Debby.
The rescue drama unfolded after the boaters missed their scheduled check-in while sailing from Key West to Tarpon Springs. Their concerned friends promptly alerted the St. Petersburg Coast Guard station at 5 p.m., triggering an immediate search operation.
