Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen's credibility has been dealt a severe blow as his cross-examination in the NY v. Trump trial reveals a pattern of dishonesty and theft.

On Wednesday morning, Trump attorney Todd Blanche confronted Cohen with the admission that he had overstated payments to a tech company providing services to the Trump Organization, pocketing the difference.

"You stole from the Trump Org, right?" Blanche asked.

"Yes, sir," Cohen responded, confirming that he had taken $30,000 from the organization.

This revelation builds on Cohen's earlier testimony alleging that he and former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg conspired to inflate a repayment to Cohen for his $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.

According to Cohen, the repayment was "grossed up" to avoid tax consequences and included reimbursement for a purported $50,000 payment to tech company Red Finch. However, Cohen admitted that he had only paid Red Finch $20,000.

Adding to his credibility woes, Cohen acknowledged lying to Weisselberg about the amount he had paid Red Finch, pocketing the remaining $30,000.

Blanche also questioned Cohen about his failure to repay the stolen funds, which Cohen attributed to his anger over a bonus reduction.

"I was angry because of the reduction in the bonus and I just felt like it was almost like self help," Cohen said.

These admissions have undermined Cohen's credibility as a witness, raising questions about the reliability of his earlier testimony.

Adding to Cohen's credibility issues, a former lawyer who advised him, Robert Costello, has testified before Congress that Cohen is a "serial liar."

As cross-examination wraps up, Trump's legal team has a strong case for questioning Cohen's reliability and potentially discrediting his damaging testimony.

The trial is expected to conclude with closing arguments next Tuesday, following the Memorial Day holiday. The outcome of the case could have significant implications for Trump and the Trump Organization.
