Colorado Air National Guard to Honor Independence Day with F-16 Flyovers

The Colorado Air National Guard will conduct F-16 flyovers of various Colorado communities on July 4, 2024, to celebrate Independence Day.
The Colorado Air National Guard's 140th Fighter Wing, based at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, will conduct a series of F-16C Viper flyovers throughout Colorado on July 4, 2024, as part of the state's Independence Day celebrations.
The flyovers are scheduled to take place at the following locations and times:

* Colorado Springs: 9:00 AM
* Fort Collins: 9:15 AM
* Greeley: 9:30 AM
* Loveland: 9:45 AM
* Boulder: 10:00 AM
* Denver: 10:15 AM
* Westminster: 10:30 AM
* Arvada: 10:45 AM
* Lakewood: 11:00 AM
* Centennial: 11:15 AM
Each flyover will consist of two F-16C Vipers flying in formation, offering a spectacular display of aerial precision and agility. The aircraft will ascend to a low altitude and fly at a speed of approximately 500 miles per hour, providing an unforgettable visual experience for communities across the state.
To ensure the safety of the public and the aircrews, the Colorado Air National Guard requests that spectators observe the flyovers from a safe distance and avoid gathering in large groups. It is also important to refrain from pointing lasers or other objects at the aircraft.
The F-16C Viper is a single-engine, supersonic multirole fighter aircraft known for its exceptional maneuverability and combat effectiveness. It has a top speed of 1,500 miles per hour and is equipped with an array of weapons, including air-to-air missiles, bombs, and a 20mm cannon.
