The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly increased their contract extension offer to star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, meeting his request for more than $33 million per year and matching the length of Justin Jefferson's deal with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly upped their contract extension offer to star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, meeting his request for an average annual salary of more than $33 million. This move would make Lamb one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL on an annual basis.

According to a report from DLLS Sports, the Cowboys have also trimmed the length of their offer to four years, matching the length of the record-breaking deal that Minnesota Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson received earlier this offseason. The previous offer from the Cowboys was believed to approach $33 million per year, which would have trailed only Jefferson's $35 million annual salary.

Lamb, 25, has expressed dissatisfaction with the Cowboys' initial offer, citing concerns not only with the average annual salary but also with the cash flow and guaranteed money structure. As a result, he has held out of Cowboys training camp and has not practiced with the team at all during the offseason.

The pressure to get a deal done has seemingly increased as the regular season nears. However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones initially suggested that the team had "no urgency" to reach an agreement with Lamb, a remark that drew criticism from the wide receiver.

Jones later clarified his statement, acknowledging the importance of Lamb's presence and expressing a willingness to find a mutually agreeable solution. "We obviously do this because of how bad we want to be together," Jones said. "I know he wants to be a Dallas Cowboy and we want him to be a Dallas Cowboy."

Lamb is coming off a career year in which he led the league in receptions (135) and was second in receiving yards (1,749). He also finished third in receiving touchdowns (12). As he enters the final year of his rookie contract, Lamb is not the only key player facing an uncertain contract situation.

Quarterback Dak Prescott, linebacker Micah Parsons, and head coach Mike McCarthy are all entering the final years of their respective deals. Prescott, in particular, is seen as a top priority for the Cowboys to re-sign.

According to reports, Prescott is seeking a contract that exceeds $55 million per year. The quarterback market has seen several high-profile deals in recent years, and Prescott's agents will likely use those benchmarks as a basis for their negotiations with the Cowboys.

The Cowboys are keen to retain Prescott, who has established himself as one of the league's most productive quarterbacks. However, both sides will need to find a compromise that satisfies both financial expectations and the team's long-term goals.
