Country music star Craig Morgan reflects on his decision to re-enlist in the Army Reserve at age 59, expressing gratitude for the freedoms enjoyed by Americans and concern over a perceived lack of appreciation among younger generations.

Country singer Craig Morgan has shared his thoughts on re-enlisting in the Army Reserve at the age of 59, describing it as a "very emotional experience." He also expressed concern over a lack of appreciation for American freedoms among younger generations.

Morgan believes that many Americans, especially those in younger generations, take their liberties for granted. In an interview with Fox News Digital, he highlighted the importance of freedom and expressed his disappointment that not all Americans share his outlook.

"I see things on TV. I see people doing things that just make me shake my head in a lack of understanding how they can't appreciate how fortunate we are," Morgan said. "I think a lot of that is attributed to a lack of education."

Morgan emphasized the importance of education in understanding the value of American freedoms. He believes that some young people may not fully grasp the significance of the rights that set America apart from other nations.

"They don't even know half of what they're saying," Morgan said. "If they would just slow down and educate themselves... Go visit some of these other countries. And they would understand how free and how fortunate we are to be in this great nation."

Morgan credits his military service with giving him a deeper understanding of the freedoms enjoyed by Americans. He served in the United States Army for almost 10 years of active duty before joining the Army Reserve.

"The love that we have for our country. The passion we have for the freedoms that we celebrate in this nation. So, to be able to go back and reignite that fire and be a part of what I believe are the greatest people in our nation—it was very emotional," Morgan said of his re-enlistment.

Morgan's concern extends to events he has witnessed on college campuses, including anti-Israel protests and anti-American rhetoric. He expressed bewilderment and attributed such behavior to ignorance.

"I see these young folks out there that are doing things, and I just don't—I'm dumbfounded by it," Morgan said. "I can't understand. But, at the same time, I do. And I attribute it again to ignorance."

Morgan believes that re-enlisting in the Army Reserve will allow him to encourage others to appreciate the freedoms enjoyed by Americans. "I'm excited, honored, humbled, and grateful to be able to do it again and hopefully encourage other folks in our country, to celebrate again and be a part of what I do believe and know to be the greatest nation in the world," he said.
