Police in Dallas have arrested a suspect in connection with a violent home invasion that left a woman bound and robbed of over $75,000 worth of cash and items. The suspect, identified as Manuel Hernandez-Hernandez, is believed to be part of a group of four men who allegedly forced the woman into her home at gunpoint and threatened to cut off her fingers. Hernandez-Hernandez is currently being held on an immigration hold at the Dallas County Jail.

On September 21, a woman in Dallas was targeted by four armed men as she pulled into her driveway. The men forced her out of her vehicle at gunpoint and into her home, where they tied her up with pieces of clothing in her bedroom.

The men, who spoke Spanish, used Google Translate to communicate with the victim and threatened to cut off her fingers if she did not reveal the location of her safe. The victim's house was ransacked, and the men fled with $75,000 in cash, her phone, a Gucci purse, and several coins from a wooden box.

The victim managed to free herself and call the police from a neighbor's house. She was still bound with clothing and refused transport to a hospital for medical observation.

Investigators identified fingerprints from the wooden coin box as belonging to Manuel Hernandez-Hernandez, who was arrested in Colleyville on Monday, October 3. Hernandez-Hernandez had been arrested and released in Colleyville just 10 days earlier, but the arrest report did not disclose the charges.

The victim could not identify any of the suspects in a lineup, but police obtained video footage showing a possible suspect's vehicle and two unknown suspects approaching the victim's garage around the time of the incident.

There is no evidence linking Hernandez-Hernandez to the Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela, despite claims on social media suggesting otherwise.

"This remains an active investigation," the Dallas Police Department stated.

Tren de Aragua has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has expressed concerns about the gang's activities in Texas.
