White emphasized that financial gain has never been his primary motivation. "UFC was never about the money for me," he stated. "I love the sport of MMA, and I want to make sure it's the best it can be."

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been charged with assault and interference with communications following an incident with a drug-testing agent. Crystal Martinez, a representative from Drug Free Sport, alleges that Jones assaulted her while collecting a sample for the UFC's anti-doping program.

Martinez claims that Jones refused to provide a urine sample and became agitated when she suggested a blood test. He allegedly seized her cell phone and recorded her.

Jones, 36, has a troubled history outside of the octagon. In September 2021, he was charged with domestic battery for allegedly hitting his fiancée. He also headbutted a patrol car during the incident.

Charges were later dropped, but Jones pleaded no contest to tampering with a police vehicle. A year earlier, he was arrested for DWI after being found in his car with an open container of alcohol and a firearm.

Jones has dismissed the allegations against him, claiming that the drug testers left his home amicably. "I want to clarify that there is a video showing both drug testers leaving my home after the testing session, where we exchanged a high five and a hug," Jones wrote on social media.

However, Martinez alleges that Jones appeared to be intoxicated during the incident and made threatening remarks.

If convicted of both counts, Jones could face less than one year in prison and fines. The charges have raised questions about his future in the UFC.

Jones remains active in the sport but has been struggling with a torn pectoral muscle. While he has expressed a desire to return to the octagon, Tom Aspinall currently holds the interim heavyweight championship title.

Despite the Jones controversy, the UFC continues to reign supreme in the world of MMA. White attributes the organization's success to its unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality fights and its ability to attract and develop the best fighters in the world.

"We're the best because we have the best fighters and the best production," White said. "We're not going anywhere."
