Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams expressed his desire for Tom Brady to unretire and play quarterback for the Raiders.

Davante Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders' star wide receiver, has voiced his desire for Tom Brady to unretire and quarterback the Silver and Black.

In an appearance on "Club Shay Shay" with Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, Adams said he would "take Brady even if [he was] 58 years old."

"You gonna talk about how old he is. I don't care. I don't care," Adams told Sharpe. "Tom knows how I feel about him."

Brady, who retired twice before eventually returning to lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory in Super Bowl LV, would undoubtedly be the best quarterback on the Raiders' roster if he decided to return to the field.

With Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew II serving as the leading contenders for the starting job in 2024, Adams' apparent frustration with their accuracy could be a factor in his desire for Brady's presence.

"He's gotta still be able to throw it better than half these dudes in the league," Adams said of Brady.

Jimmy Garoppolo, who started at quarterback for the Raiders last season before being benched in favor of O'Connell, is now a member of the Los Angeles Rams but is suspended for two games for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy.

There has been speculation that Adams could be traded to the New York Jets to reunite with Aaron Rodgers, but no such move has materialized.

Adams' comments come as the Raiders prepare for the upcoming season with uncertainty at the quarterback position. With Brady's return now a possibility, Adams' wish could potentially become a reality.

If Brady were to unretire and join the Raiders, he would bring a wealth of experience and leadership to a team that has struggled to find consistency at quarterback in recent years. With Adams as his primary target, the Raiders' offense would become one of the most dangerous in the NFL.

However, it remains to be seen whether Brady has any interest in returning to the field. After leading the Buccaneers to victory in Super Bowl LV, Brady initially retired in February 2022 but later reversed his decision and returned to Tampa Bay for the 2022 season.

If Brady decides to retire again, the Raiders will need to find another solution at quarterback. But for now, Adams' comments have given Raiders fans hope that the legendary quarterback could once again be calling the plays in Las Vegas.
