In the aftermath of the accident, Branch faced a new reality. As a dedicated police officer with 16 years of fencing experience, he had to come to terms with the loss of his mobility. However, Branch refused to give up on his passion for fencing.

"I just tried to apply what I knew from the fencing game to the wheelchair game," Branch explained. "There was a little bit of a learning curve, but nothing too extreme."
Branch's unwavering spirit has propelled him to the pinnacle of wheelchair fencing. He is now preparing for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, where he will compete alongside the world's best athletes.

"I'm most excited just to be in the atmosphere of all the other athletes there that are going to be representing the country, and then all the athletes from all over the world being in that kind of atmosphere," Branch said. "It's incredible."
Branch's journey has not been without its challenges. As an unsponsored athlete, he has relied on financial support from family, friends, and a GoFundMe campaign to cover his expenses. However, the outpouring of support he has received has fueled his determination to succeed.
"I would like to personally say thank you to everybody who has helped thus far," Branch said. "It's been super helpful, very supportive."
Branch is not only a talented athlete but also a role model for others who have overcome adversity. His story is a testament to the power of perseverance, resilience, and the unwavering support of loved ones.
As he prepares for the Paralympic Games, Branch remains focused on his goal. He is determined to represent Team USA with honor and inspire others to never give up on their dreams.
