The vehicle left a large hole in the front of the local business. Suffolk County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victims to local hospitals.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Suffolk County Police Department.

Witnesses told FOX 5 that they heard a loud crash and saw people running out of the building. One witness said that she saw a car speeding down Grand Avenue before the crash occurred.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

The crash is the latest in a series of fatal accidents involving vehicles crashing into buildings on Long Island. In 2016, a car crashed into a pizzeria in Massapequa, killing two people. In 2018, a car crashed into a hardware store in Farmingdale, killing one person.

The crashes have raised concerns about the safety of pedestrians and drivers in the area. Suffolk County officials are working to improve safety measures, including increasing traffic enforcement and installing more pedestrian crossings.
