Exclusive surveillance footage from 2016 has emerged, apparently depicting rap mogul Diddy brutally attacking his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway. The video has sparked outrage among celebrities and legal experts, casting a shadow over Diddy's previous denials of wrongdoing.
Celebrities and law enforcement alike have condemned rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs after the release of a video allegedly showing him brutally assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway in 2016. The newly released surveillance footage has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and raised serious questions about Diddy's character and previous denials of the allegations.
50 Cent, who has had a long-standing feud with Diddy, sarcastically commented on the video, mocking the rapper's anticipated defense. Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski simply labeled Diddy a "monster." Singer Aubrey O'Day, a supporter of Ventura and a former victim of Diddy's alleged abuse, expressed her support for the victims. Emily Ratajkowski called Combs a "monster" on X.
The shocking video, exclusively obtained by CNN, appears to corroborate claims made by Ventura in her November lawsuit accusing Diddy of physical and sexual abuse. In the lawsuit, Ventura alleged that Combs punched her in the face in the hotel hallway. The video footage seems to confirm this allegation.
Derrick Parker, the New York Police Department's former "hip-hop cop" who investigated Combs' role in a 1999 nightclub shooting, believes the video is "damaging" to his case. "This is gonna hurt him badly, because it adds credence to what Ms. Ventura has been alleging about the abuse from him."
Federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations have been conducting an ongoing investigation into Combs, raiding his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami earlier this year. The video footage is expected to further accelerate the investigation, according to Parker.
Diddy has vehemently denied the allegations against him, releasing a statement in December claiming his innocence. However, the newly released video has cast a shadow of doubt over his previous claims.
Ventura's lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, stated that the video "has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs." He praised Ventura's courage in coming forward.
Marlo Hampton, an alum of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," commented with three praying emojis, while comedian Jay Pharoah commented, "Mmm.. ‘won't Diddy do it?’ He definitely will."
Fox News Digital has reached out to reps for Combs for comment, but no response has been received as of yet.
The public release of the video has not only outraged celebrities but has also sparked a broader discussion about domestic violence and accountability. Many believe that the video will change public perceptions of Diddy and potentially have severe consequences for his career and reputation.
