The crash claimed the life of Tiffany Alexander, a wife and mother of three young children. Alexander succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital, leaving her family devastated.

Police stated that after the crash, they arrested Escobar at her home on Wednesday night and charged her with vehicular DUI homicide, DUI with property damage, DUI causing injury, and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or more.

During a press conference, Winter Springs Police Chief Matt Tracht expressed his disbelief at Escobar's high blood alcohol level of 0.38. "I don't know anybody in this room if we'd be standing at a [blood alcohol limit of] 0.38," he said. "I don't really know how she was driving at a 0.38, it boggles my mind."

Tracht revealed that two of Alexander's children were in the backseat of her vehicle at the time of the crash and sustained minor injuries. Both children are expected to recover.

The police chief emphasized that the tragedy could have been averted if Escobar had made responsible choices. "This accident could have been totally prevented if Miss Escobar made some good choices that day," he said. "And we all know, she did not make good choices and this is the outcome."

The Alexander family has been left shattered by the loss of their loved one. GoFundMe pages have been set up to provide financial support during this difficult time.

"Tiffany will forever be remembered by all who knew her for her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, her laughter, and her ability to make people feel seen and loved," reads the description on one of the fundraising pages.

The Winter Springs Police Department is continuing to investigate the case and executing search warrants. The community mourns the loss of a cherished member and prays for the recovery of the injured children.
