Eric Roberts, the acclaimed actor, recently found himself tiptoeing around a sensitive subject during an interview with Steve Kmetko's "Still Here Hollywood" podcast. When asked about his sister, Julia Roberts, and his daughter, Emma Roberts, Eric expressed a mix of admiration and restraint.

"I love my sister, but I can't talk about her," he stated. "She doesn't want to talk about it. And also, my daughter's told me also not to talk about her, but I stumble and do. I'm not supposed to talk about either of them, but I do."

Despite the imposed silence, Eric couldn't help but express his profound admiration for his daughter's exceptional talent. When asked about actors he admired, Eric enthusiastically declared, "I am in love with my daughter's work these days, like I can't believe how great she's become."

He elaborated, "Whenever you're asked that kind of question, if you name one person you leave out two. It doesn't really work to answer that question. But, the way I can answer it and be honest about it is, I am in love with my daughter's work these days, like I can't believe how great she's become."

Eric's pride extended beyond Emma's recent roles, particularly her lead performance in the 2023 comedy "Maybe I Do." He beamed, "I'm so proud of her I can't see straight." And I'm just so happy to be her dad because she's kicking a-- and I'm so proud."

Ironically, Eric joked that he had "absolutely nothing" to do with Emma's success "except I gave her that name." However, in a previous interview with Flaunt, Emma had revealed that being part of a famous family had hindered her career.

"I've lost more jobs than I've gained from being in the business," Emma stated. "People have opinions, and sometimes maybe they're not good opinions of people in your family. I've never gotten a job because of it, I know I definitely have lost a couple of jobs because of it."

Despite his past struggles with drug addiction, which had briefly estranged him from Julia, Eric expressed that their relationship had mended over the years. He attributed this reconciliation to the birth of Julia's twins in 2004.

"I was ushered into their room and was immediately awash in brotherly and uncle-ly love," Eric recalled. He went on to share that they now spend holidays together and email frequently.
