Former FBI special agent Lou Luciano shares his harrowing experience coming face-to-face with Maryland murderer Hadden Clark, described as the embodiment of pure evil in a new true-crime docuseries "Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior."
Hadden Clark, the subject of the chilling new docuseries "Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior," has left an unforgettable mark on the mind of retired FBI special agent Lou Luciano. Luciano, who encountered Clark during the investigation of two gruesome murders, vividly remembers the encounter as one that left an icy trail of dread in its wake.
"My work has taken me to some of the darkest corners of the world, but this guy surpasses them all," Luciano told Fox News Digital. "He has a soulless, icy gaze, and an aura of evil that envelops you like a suffocating blanket."

Clark, a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, has confessed to heinous crimes that have shocked the nation. His gruesome deeds include cannibalism, torture, and the murder of multiple women. Luciano recalls the moment he first laid eyes on Clark, describing his piercing blue eyes as "devoid of any trace of human compassion."
"When I saw him, my gut instinct was to end his life right then and there," said Luciano. "But even beyond that, there was this strange allure to him. He possessed a hypnotic charm that made me want to simultaneously recoil and study him further."

The docuseries delves into Clark's troubled childhood, marked by strange behavior and unsettling incidents. His brother recalls a time when Clark rammed him with a bike, exhibiting a disturbing lack of empathy. Their mother attributed Clark's actions to a forceps delivery that caused a head injury.
As an adult, Clark's behavior became increasingly erratic. He attended the Culinary Institute of America but failed to hold down a job. Co-workers were horrified to witness him chugging beef blood, foreshadowing the monstrous nature of his crimes.

Michele Dorr, a young girl of only six, became one of Clark's victims in 1986. He lured her into the woods, where he murdered her and drank her blood. The docuseries reveals how Clark later led police to Dorr's remains, which had been hidden for years.
In 1992, Laura Houghteling, a Harvard graduate, vanished from her home. Clark, who worked as a gardener for her mother, became a prime suspect. A bloody fingerprint on Houghteling's pillowcase linked him to the crime, and he eventually led police to her shallow grave.

Clark's drawings, which he created by the hundreds, often depicted his crimes in disturbing detail. "They're filled with wide-eyed women and maps that resemble postcards from hell," said Luciano. "I'm even featured in some, portrayed as a target of his twisted vengeance."
Bradfield Clark, Hadden's brother, is also a convicted murderer. He cooked and ate portions of his co-worker's body after killing her in 1984. The horrifying crimes committed by both brothers underscore the darkness that can lurk within a family.

Luciano credits Jack Truitt, Clark's former cellmate, for helping to bring closure to the victims' families. Truitt, who Clark mistook for Jesus, was instrumental in eliciting confessions from him. "Jack took a tremendous risk to help us," said Luciano. "He could have put his own life in danger, but he put justice above his personal safety."
Luciano believes there may be additional victims out there, as Clark's actions were often motivated by a desire for attention and gratification. He warns women to remain vigilant and not to let their guard down, as evil can strike anywhere.
