On Thursday afternoon, the National Park Service (NPS) released a statement regarding a deadly shootout at Yellowstone National Park, leaving a suspect deceased and a park ranger injured.
The incident occurred overnight Wednesday into early Thursday when rangers were summoned to the park's Canyon Village complex in response to threats made by the suspect with a firearm. An exchange of gunfire ensued between the suspect and the rangers, ultimately resulting in the suspect's death.
