Dr. Anthony Fauci's admission of a possible Wuhan lab leak in a congressional hearing has reignited debate, while a group of Dutch medical researchers have sparked a controversy by calling for an investigation into deaths caused by COVID-19 vaccine mandates and lockdowns.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), recently admitted during a congressional hearing that the COVID-19 virus could have leaked from a Wuhan lab. This revelation has reignited speculation about the origins of the pandemic and cast doubt on previous theories.

Meanwhile, a group of Dutch medical researchers have ignited a firestorm by calling for an investigation into the deaths caused by vaccine mandates and lockdowns imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The researchers argue that "every death needs to be acknowledged and accounted for," including those caused by policy mistakes.

The Dutch researchers' data analysis shows that death rates in 47 western countries, including the U.S., remained higher than pre-pandemic levels even after lockdowns were implemented and vaccines were rolled out. This suggests that the measures may not have been as effective as hoped and may have even caused additional deaths.

In the U.S., the researchers found double-digit increases in alcohol-caused and drug overdose fatalities during the pandemic. They also cited evidence from other researchers indicating significant increases in deaths from alcoholism, drug addiction, car accidents, hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes.

Tragically, the increase in deaths of despair during the pandemic disproportionately affected younger adults. Many succumbed to alcoholism or drug addiction as a result of layoffs and financial losses due to lockdowns.

Despite mounting evidence of the ineffectiveness of lockdowns, government health officials initially refused to change course. This put the public's welfare at risk and led to unnecessary suffering.

The Dutch researchers highlighted the low risk of COVID-19 death for children, with a risk of 0.0003%. However, officials are still recommending vaccines for all schoolchildren, a move that has been criticized as unnecessary.

The Dutch researchers' suggestion that the vaccines may have caused some pandemic-era deaths has sparked a backlash from the public health establishment. Research has shown that the vaccine may increase the risk of cardiac-related deaths in men, but further investigation is needed to establish a causal link.

The global public health establishment, including journal editors and government advisers, has criticized the Dutch researchers for calling for further investigation into vaccine mortality. This resistance to scrutiny highlights the closed-minded nature of some public health authorities.

The Dutch researchers' study is a reminder of the importance of questioning public health orthodoxy and investigating all possible causes of death. With new threats looming, such as bird flu, it is crucial to have a clear understanding of what measures are truly effective and what unintended consequences may arise.
