A focus group of voters from various political affiliations shared their perceptions of Tuesday's presidential debate, expressing concerns about Vice President Kamala Harris's alleged use of "race baiting" and "fear mongering."
In the aftermath of Tuesday's presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, a focus group of voters assembled by Fox News Digital provided insightful reactions to the candidates' performances and the key issues raised.
One voter, expressing disapproval of Harris's tactics, accused her of engaging in "race baiting" and "fear mongering" throughout the debate. The voter specifically cited Harris's remarks on the Central Park Five case, criticizing her for omitting certain details and attempting to portray Trump as racially divisive.

"I think he was gaslit throughout the entire debate, and that is probably why he was so defensive," the voter stated. "Even when he brought up the topic of race, he brought that up because she's pandering, she's using being black as a trope to get black votes."
This voter argued that Harris failed to provide a concrete plan for addressing the concerns of black voters, despite her emphasis on her racial identity. "I would have liked to see her lean into the fact that 'yes I am a black woman, and this is my plan black America,'" the voter said. "But she clearly doesn't have a plan because she's essentially not black."

Another voter pointed out the fact that the lead prosecutor in the Central Park Five case, Robert Morgenthau, was a Democrat. This detail, according to the voter, undermines Harris's attempt to portray Trump as the only person responsible for the unjust accusations against the innocent teenagers.
The focus group's reactions highlight the complex dynamics at play in the presidential race, with voters expressing concerns about the candidates' rhetoric and their ability to address pressing issues facing the nation. The debate has intensified the scrutiny on both Trump and Harris as they seek to sway voters in the remaining weeks leading up to the November election.
