A former Minnesota resident has fled the state, citing Governor Tim Walz's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and escalating crime as her reasons for leaving. Cathy, the resident who requested anonymity, shared her heartbreaking story of her mother's death due to loneliness in a nursing home during the pandemic, blaming Walz's restrictive policies for her mother's isolation and untimely demise.

Cathy, a former longtime resident of Minneapolis, made the difficult decision to relocate to South Dakota in late 2020 due to concerns over Governor Tim Walz's policies on crime and the COVID-19 pandemic. Her decision was solidified after her mother's tragic and lonely passing in a nursing home during the pandemic.

Cathy's mother resided in a nursing home during the pandemic, where restrictions imposed by Walz's administration prohibited family visits. Cathy expressed her belief that her mother's death was a direct result of the loneliness she endured due to the lack of contact with her loved ones.

"If it weren't for these rules put in place for COVID by Governor Walz, one of my brothers could have been there with her. She didn't have to be alone when she died, but their tyranny is the reason that she was alone when she passed," Cathy lamented.

Cathy recounted her experience of visiting her mother on the morning of her passing. She shared that her mother's loneliness was evident, and she couldn't bear to imagine the anguish her mother had endured during those final moments.

"I did give her a kiss on the forehead before I left, but she passed while I was having chemo that day," Cathy said. "I can't imagine the loneliness that my mother went through when she was dying."

Cathy's experience is a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of isolation on vulnerable populations. The pandemic exacerbated the loneliness and isolation that many nursing home residents already experience, and Cathy believes that Walz's policies contributed to her mother's untimely demise.

Cathy's concerns extend beyond the nursing home tragedy. She has witnessed firsthand the escalating crime rates in Minneapolis under Walz's leadership. She described her childhood growing up in a safe and vibrant city that has now been marred by violence.

"It was so safe. It was just good. We could go anywhere and not be afraid," she said. "Minneapolis is just not safe anymore. Our son still lives just four blocks from the Minneapolis border, and they hear gunshots at night. It's very concerning how the crime is, and they don't seem to want to do anything to make things better, especially Tim Walz."

Cathy's experiences have led her to strongly oppose Walz and his potential as a vice presidential candidate alongside Kamala Harris. She believes that their administration would pose a grave threat to the country.

"Tim Walz is just not what he says he is. He's the ultimate liberal. He wants high taxes. He wants control of everything. He wants to allow kids to come in and have sex-change operations without their parents' consent. He has a sanctuary state, lets any illegal immigrants in and protects them," she said.

Cathy's story is a powerful indictment of Governor Tim Walz's policies and serves as a cautionary tale for Americans who may be considering supporting his political aspirations.
