Lisa Hanson, a former small business owner in Minnesota, criticizes Governor Tim Walz's COVID-19 policies, claiming they "destroy" Americans' rights. She shares her personal ordeal of being jailed for defying Walz's lockdown orders and expresses concern over his potential influence as Vice President.

Former Minnesota resident Lisa Hanson has vehemently criticized Governor Tim Walz's leadership, particularly his handling of COVID-19 policies, after being jailed for defying his executive shutdown orders. Hanson, a former small business owner, believes that Walz's policies have infringed upon the rights of Americans and Minnesotans specifically.

Hanson owned the Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro in Albert Lea for eight years before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Initially, she complied with the shutdown orders issued in March 2020. However, as months passed and Walz failed to fully reopen the state, she grew increasingly frustrated.

In December 2020, Hanson decided to reopen her business and defied Walz's renewed shutdown order for bars and restaurants six times. She explained that she faced a dilemma: either close her business permanently or risk defying the government in an attempt to survive.

Within 48 hours of reopening, Hanson was met with swift retaliation from the state. The health department targeted her business, and she faced multiple civil and criminal cases. Incurring substantial legal fees and fines, her business was eventually forced to close under intense pressure from the government.

Hanson was convicted in December 2021 and received the maximum sentence of 90 days and a $1,000 fine. She served two-thirds of her sentence, 60 days. Upon her release, she recounted her ordeal, claiming that her rights were violated.

"When I faced these tyrannical leaders, if you will, there were no rights," Hanson said. "This is a really important story that needs to be shared. America needs to know what kind of a man Tim Walz is."

Hanson's criticism extends to Walz's potential role as Vice President. She believes that his policies would have devastating consequences on a national scale.

"He destroyed so many businesses in the state of Minnesota never to open again. He destroyed so many lives in Minnesota, literally," Hanson said. "His policies destroy the American people's rights, the Minnesotans' rights to be specific."

Hanson has since moved to Iowa but remains concerned about Walz's influence. She believes that his policies are a threat to individual liberty and has called for his impeachment and prosecution.

Hanson's experience and perspective offer a compelling critique of Governor Walz's leadership. Her story highlights the potential impact of excessive government restrictions on individuals and businesses, and raises concerns about the upholding of fundamental rights during emergencies.
