Former President Donald Trump warns of a possible third World War if he loses the 2024 election, citing potential escalation of conflicts in the Middle East.
Former President Donald Trump issued a stark warning on Friday, claiming that conflicts in the Middle East could spiral into a third World War if he is defeated in the 2024 election.
Trump's comments came during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The former president emphasized the importance of maintaining strong alliances in the region, particularly with Israel, to deter potential adversaries.

"If we don't win in 2024, you're going to have a third World War," Trump said to Netanyahu, according to Fox News. "You're going to have war with Iran, you're going to have war with North Korea, and you're going to have war with China."
Trump's assessment is based on his belief that his foreign policy approach, which emphasized "America First" and a strong military, was effective in preventing major conflicts during his presidency. He contrasts his record with that of President Joe Biden, whom he accuses of weakening the United States through policies such as withdrawing from Afghanistan.
"We were respected," Trump said of his time in office. "Other countries, they didn't want to mess with us ... they knew that we were strong, they knew that we were powerful."
Trump's comments come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where Iran continues to challenge regional stability and the ongoing conflict in Yemen remains unresolved. Analysts have warned that miscalculations or provocations could lead to a wider regional conflict.
Netanyahu's visit to the United States this week included meetings with both Trump and Biden, underscoring the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship. The Israeli leader has expressed support for Trump in the past, but he has also been careful to maintain good relations with Biden's administration.
Trump's warning about a potential World War III has raised concerns among some observers, who question whether his assessments are based on credible intelligence or whether they are motivated by political considerations. However, the former president's comments highlight the ongoing debate over the direction of U.S. foreign policy and the potential consequences of a change in leadership.
