Comedian George Lopez abruptly left a California stand-up performance 30 minutes early, citing an "unruly" crowd, but the venue disputes his account, accusing him of letting down fans.

George Lopez has become embroiled in a dispute with the Eagle Mountain Casino in Portersville, California, after he stormed off stage during a stand-up performance last Friday. Lopez claims he left due to an "unruly" crowd, while the casino alleges that he failed to deliver on his promised show.

The comedian's team told the New York Post that the casino "failed" to "provide a good experience for both the artist and the fans," claiming that the "audience was overserved and unruly, and the casino staff was unable to provide a safe and enjoyable experience."

However, the casino disputes Lopez's account. In a statement on its website, Eagle Mountain said that Lopez's reasons for leaving "came as a shock to everyone, including casino management." The statement claims that casino footage shows no evidence of unruly guests and suggests that Lopez's private security team failed to properly handle any disruptive individuals.

The casino also points out that Lopez had previously canceled a show at the same venue in April due to a health emergency. This time, the casino had rescheduled the performance to accommodate Lopez.

TMZ obtained video footage taken by an audience member, showing the moment Lopez walked off stage after warning the crowd and stating that he felt like an "a--hole" for leaving. The audience was left to boo as Lopez exited the stage.

Eagle Mountain has announced that it will reimburse ticket holders and offer free tickets to another show at the casino. The casino's statement claims that the previous two comedians performing there had no problems, making Lopez's exit all the more surprising.

The casino also alleges that Lopez did not provide any explanation for his departure to management or fans before being whisked away to the airport.

"While we did see guests yelling out, we see recordings showing those saying – we love you, can we buy you a drink, etc. We also know that at a comedy show, there are also likely some outbursts that casino security would have been happy to address had any issue been made known," said Eagle Mountain assistant general manager Tiffani Sahagun.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Lopez for comment, but has not yet received a response. The dispute highlights the challenges faced by both comedians and venues in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for performers and attendees alike.
