"I wasn't going to go for the cremation part and take him there. I wasn't going to go do that. I was just, 'I don't want any part of this,'" Fieri admitted. "But something changed, took a whole different thing... I surprised myself about how I handled it."

Fieri's spiritual journey not only helped him to process the loss of his father but also deepened his connection to his mother. He revealed that in the wake of his father's death, he grew "10 times" closer to Penny, who had been married to Jim for over 50 years.
