Melinda Roth, a professor at George Washington University Law School, has strongly condemned anti-Israel protests on campus, calling out students for spreading "hate" and ignoring the needs of those truly suffering in the Gaza conflict.

In a public Facebook post, Roth expressed outrage at the protesters, who have set up tents on the university's University Yard. She questioned their motives, asking why they were not using their resources to help those displaced in Gaza, rather than engaging in demonstrations on a campus far removed from the conflict zone.

"Instead of hanging out in your nice brand new paid from unknown sources green and white tents, why not send them to those displaced in Gaza who really need them?" Roth wrote. "After all, you have dorms and apartments that mommy and daddy are paying for right now."

Roth criticized the protesters for depending on "mommy and daddy" to pay for their living expenses while claiming to care about the suffering of others. She pointed out that many American Jews have gone to Israel to provide labor in kibbutzes and farms, where many Israelis have been called up for military service.

"If you really want to help, why don't you go where you really could make a difference for the people you profess to be supporting?" she asked.

Roth also took issue with the protesters' signs, which she said supported "rape, gender inequality, lack of any LGBTQ rights," and a named terrorist organization. She condemned their call for an intifada revolution, saying it was a call for more innocent lives to be lost.

"You are not on the right side of history like you think you will be," Roth wrote. "No one with hate in their heart ever is."

Roth's comments come amid growing concerns about the spread of anti-Israel sentiment on college campuses across the United States. Many universities have seen student spaces overtaken by anti-Israel protests, often in the form of tent encampments.

GWU President Ellen Granberg issued a statement on Sunday condemning the protests, calling them "an illegal and potentially dangerous occupation of GW property." She emphasized that while she supports free speech and peaceful protests, the current demonstrations have gone beyond protected activities.

Roth told Fox News Digital in a statement that she does not speak for the law school or GWU at large. However, she expressed fear over the protesters' defacing of the George Washington statue on campus, dressing it like a terrorist.

"I support free speech, I support the right to protest (peacefully) but I do not support students and others violating multiple rules of the University including destruction of property," she wrote.

GWU did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
