Fox News host Sean Hannity accuses Democrats of inciting hatred against Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention.

Fox News host Sean Hannity launched a scathing attack on the Democratic National Convention (DNC), alleging that its central theme was one of hatred and loathing.

Speaking on his nightly show "Hannity," the conservative commentator slammed the Democrats for their relentless focus on former President Donald Trump, accusing them of hoping that Americans would "hate" him as much as they did.

"Despite a promise of happiness and joy, the theme in this building all week has frankly been nothing but hatred and loathing," Hannity declared.

He argued that Democrats were seeking to exploit this hatred to sway voters against Trump-backed policies, even if those policies were in their best interests.

"They want you to hate Donald Trump so much, you will even vote against what is in your own best interest," Hannity said.

Hannity specifically criticized the Democrats for their silence on the Biden administration's handling of the border crisis, suggesting that they hoped Trump's perceived failures would distract voters from the current situation.

"They hope that your hatred of Trump will blind you to the Biden-Harris border crisis," Hannity said.

He also accused the Democrats of undermining America's role in the world and ignoring the benefits of Trump's economic policies.

Hannity's comments echoed those of other conservative pundits who have criticized the DNC for its focus on Trump and its lack of substantive policy discussion.

However, Democrats have defended their convention's messaging, arguing that it is necessary to address the policies and rhetoric of the former president.

They have also highlighted their own policy agenda, which includes proposals for healthcare, education, and climate change.

The DNC has been a platform for Democrats to rally their base and mobilize voters ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. However, the convention's focus on Trump has been met with criticism from some Democrats who believe it could alienate moderate voters.

It remains to be seen whether the DNC's message of opposition to Trump will resonate with voters or whether it could potentially backfire and motivate his supporters.
