Fox News host Sean Hannity lambasts Michael Cohen's testimony in the NY v. Trump trial, highlighting Cohen's credibility issues and the prosecution's questionable reliance on his claims.

SEAN HANNITY: This is beyond a judicial circus

Fox News host Sean Hannity has vehemently criticized Michael Cohen's testimony in the NY v. Trump trial, arguing that it has only served to boost former President Trump's poll numbers. Hannity has relentlessly attacked Cohen's character and credibility, pointing to his past legal troubles and his admitted hatred of Trump.

"This is beyond a judicial circus featuring plenty of clowns," Hannity exclaimed. "We've already heard testimony from the porn star that admits she hates Donald Trump, wants him in jail, owes him what, $500,000 plus dollars?"

Hannity referred to Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who claims to have had an affair with Trump. Daniels has testified in the trial, admitting that she has been vocal in her opposition to Trump.

Hannity also took aim at Cohen, a former Trump fixer who has pleaded guilty to lying to Congress and other crimes. Cohen has testified that Trump directed him to make hush money payments to Daniels and other women to conceal alleged affairs.

"He's a disbarred lawyer, Trump hater, released from prison in 2020 after a multi-year sentence for tax evasion, bank fraud, a variety of other crimes," Hannity said of Cohen. "He was also convicted of lying to Congress after lying under oath."

Hannity further highlighted that Cohen is currently facing additional allegations of lying to Congress, which have been referred to the Department of Justice. He questioned why the prosecution would place any weight on Cohen's testimony given his history of deception.

"Even fake news, their CNN experts, they're perplexed that the prosecution would ask a jury to believe anything this guy has to say," Hannity said.

Hannity's comments echo the broader conservative narrative that Cohen is an unreliable witness whose testimony should be dismissed. Critics of the prosecution have argued that Cohen is motivated by a desire for revenge against Trump and that his claims should be met with skepticism.

The NY v. Trump trial is expected to continue for several more weeks, with the prosecution calling additional witnesses to support its allegations that the Trump Organization fraudulently inflated its asset values to obtain favorable loans and tax benefits. The defense has denied these allegations and is expected to present its own witnesses to rebut the prosecution's case.

The outcome of the trial is closely watched by political observers as it could potentially lead to criminal charges against Trump or his company. However, it remains to be seen whether Cohen's testimony will have a significant impact on the jury's decision or whether it will ultimately be overshadowed by other evidence presented in the case.
