Trump campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski criticizes Vice President Kamala Harris's apparent change in policy positions, arguing that it reveals the weakness of her own agenda and makes her unappealing to voters.

Vice President Kamala Harris has found herself under fire from former Trump campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski, who has accused her of running away from her record in the Biden administration. Speaking on "MediaBuzz," Lewandowski argued that Harris's recent policy shifts demonstrate her lack of leadership and make her unelectable.

Lewandowski pointed to Harris's previous stance against fracking, which she has since reversed, as well as her criticism of Trump's tough stance on border security, which she has also moderated. He contended that these changes were not genuine but rather a calculated attempt to appeal to a wider range of voters.

"She's continuously changed her position," Lewandowski said. "She continuously takes over the Trump agenda on the positions that Donald Trump has, that he's articulated to the American people because she knows that the agenda that she and her boss, Joe Biden, and her running mate Tim Walz, have is so outside of the mainstream that she's unelectable because of it."

Lewandowski's comments underscore the challenges facing Harris as she seeks to distance herself from the unpopular Biden administration while appealing to voters who may not be receptive to her own progressive agenda.

Harris's shift toward the center has been accompanied by a similar move from former President Trump, who has softened his stance on abortion and decriminalizing marijuana. Lewandowski argued that these changes are not significant and that voters are more concerned with issues such as the economy and crime.

"Those are positions that most of the American people aren't voting on," Lewandowski said. "They're voting on crime. They're voting on national security issues. And most importantly, the No. 1 issue we continue to see is the economy."

Lewandowski's analysis aligns with recent polling that has shown Republican candidates holding a significant advantage on economic issues. A recent ABC News/Washington Post poll found that 64% of Americans believe the economy is in poor shape, and 58% disapprove of Biden's handling of the economy.

The Republican National Committee has seized on Harris's record and policy shifts, using them to paint her as an untrustworthy and unprincipled candidate. The Democratic Party, meanwhile, has defended Harris and accused the GOP of fear-mongering.

As the 2024 presidential election draws near, the battle over Harris's record and electability will likely intensify. Lewandowski's comments serve as a warning shot to Harris that she cannot hide from her past and must articulate a clear and compelling vision for the country if she hopes to win the presidency.
