While Vice President Kamala Harris enjoys overwhelming support from Hollywood stars, former President Donald Trump has a strong following among members of the Teamsters union, highlighting a disconnect between elite endorsements and grassroots sentiments.

Hollywood celebrities have thrown their weight behind Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, with high-profile endorsements from the likes of Taylor Swift, Oprah, Chris Rock, and Billie Eilish. Harris's campaign has also received significant financial support from the entertainment industry.

In contrast, former President Donald Trump appears to have a majority of support from members of the Teamsters union, a historically blue voting bloc that has traditionally endorsed Democratic candidates. However, this year, the Teamsters have decided to remain neutral, refraining from endorsing a presidential candidate for the first time in over 25 years.

Online and phone survey results from Teamsters union members suggest a majority support for Trump over Harris. This disconnect between celebrity endorsements and grassroots support highlights the growing divide between the political elite and the American public.

Actor Robert Davi, a staunch Trump supporter, has criticized the Hollywood celebrities endorsing Harris, claiming they are out of touch with the concerns of ordinary Americans. "They're not the Teamsters that actually make the sets work," Davi told Fox News' Brian Kilmeade. "That 60% of the Teamsters are for Donald Trump."

Davi believes that the Democratic Party has been "hijacked" by a "woke ideology" from the left, which he says has alienated many grassroots supporters. He pointed to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's recent comments criticizing the use of pagers by law enforcement as an example of this extremism.

"The left is continuing to do that," Davi said. "And many of the Teamsters are realizing that this is not what they signed up for."

Despite Harris's strong support from Hollywood, she faces challenges in winning over working-class voters, who have traditionally been the base of the Democratic Party. Trump, on the other hand, has maintained his popularity among this demographic, especially in states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, which were crucial to his victory in 2016.

The race between Harris and Trump is expected to be tight, and the outcome could hinge on which candidate can better connect with voters at the grassroots level. Hollywood endorsements may generate headlines, but it remains to be seen whether they will translate into votes on Election Day.
